My Creative BLOCK

Here is a great Photoshop tutorial on how to create this image above. HERE
There are days when I feel like I am on top of the world. Then there are other days that I just want to crawl in a hole and not come out. We are faced with different challenges every single day. We learn how to cope and continue with our life. So I struggle, just like everyone else. I just keep trying.

I am very blessed with the family I have. Robert and my parents are by biggest fans. My brother and future sister-in-la trust my judgment and creativity to help out with their wedding. My sister-in-law appreciates the talent it takes to make all the creations I have created for her. The love and support from my family are amazing.

My creative juices are drained right now, and I need to re energize myself. A jump start in inspiration. What do you do to re-focus and re-group to get the juices flowing? I would love to hear your ideas and inspiration to get your mojo going. Please post a comment to let me know how you get out of your creative BLOCK. I will send a special package to a random comment below. HELP ME GET the creativity BACK! Thanks

  1. Here is a quote that may be just the right thing...for right now! Just substitute the word creativity...

    "Happiness is like a butterfly.
The more you chase it, the more it eludes you.
But if you turn your attention to other things,
It comes and sits softly on your shoulder."
    Henry David Thoreau

  2. When I don't have that creative drive or just feel like I don't know where to start...I look at all of inspirations that I've saved on my computer, my photos from CHA & my favorite blogs & scrap booking websites to get me inspired . This totally works for me. Hope you get re-energized.

  3. Hey Sesil-- I go thru the very same kind of thing sometimes.. I did learn from a very WISE person a few years back who said that Artists do go thru periods of "Gathering" and "Creating". I agree completely. Sometimes, we are just needing to look to other things for inspiration, and that for me is doing a different craft-- like sewing-- and then I can get back to my Regular art stuff-- I'll pray you get the SPARK you need!

  4. When I feel drained I have to step away...not even think about or look at anything on my desk. Different times of the day are better for me too. I get more done in the mornings than late at night. :)
have coffee with a girlfriend, peruse a favorite magazine...it'll come back to you my friend! :)

  5. Oh, I hear ya! I've just got my mojo back, and truly, what worked for me was not putting pressure on myself to create. I just walked away and soon I was ready to go back for more :) I hope you find yours soon x
